Progress Update #15

Progress Update #15

– January 2020 Update –

Happy New Year! Welcome to the Warsurge January update for 2020.

First of all, we are going to be launching the app this year. In fact, we hope to have it available in the next few months. Before that though, we are stress testing the app and game system, as well as making improvements.

Starting last month and continuing this month, we’ve begun our first official round of play tests and progressively inviting local players. So far, the feedback has been very positive, and we will continue to implement features and quality of life improvements as we make adjustments and balance the gameplay.

All current affiliate miniatures and products are now painted and complete, ready for photography. We have already begun taking photos for media.

A major update is planned in February with the free eBook when you sign up to the newsletter. People who have already subscribed will receive a download link when it’s ready. More on that will be revealed next month.

In terms of game development, we are currently focusing on:

1) Photography for the Rulebook
2) Adjustments to Perks and Stats for game balance in play tests
3) Stress testing QR Code functions. These are for sharing Units, Weapons and Rosters
4) Implementing Symbols and Lore buttons

In the play tests, the main focus during this time will be the competitive (PvP) part of the game. Both playstyles of Standard (armies) and Advanced (skirmishes) will be tested. Once we are happy the game is balanced, we will introduce the Narrative games (single player, cooperative and special PvP) to be reviewed and tested as well.

The next lore chapter for Warsurge is planned for release next month.

Stay tuned for more news and updates!

Once again, Happy New Year!
