Welcome to the April 2026 news update for WARSURGE.
DakkaDakka.Store has created a miniature line in official collaboration with Warsurge. The project is built around two full skirmish factions, each with its own identity, style and battlefield role - everything you need to build a force and jump straight into the game. We have some of the miniatures painted on this month’s news cover!

You can also grab 2 free STL models by subscribing to their landing page on their website and joining their Discord!

In the app department, we are currently working on an option to purge unlinked weapons in Settings. This can help tidy up the app and in turn, may improve app performance for some users. We also have other quality of life features we want to implement, such as a search feature, sub-folders and ‘Collections’ which help you keep a tally of the models you own. These new features may take time to appear over several updates.
We are also preparing a new way to play Warsurge in the app: War Factory. This game mode has been a plan of ours for a few years now, but we have decided to push it forward. The reason why is because a well-known RTS (real-time strategy) inspired tabletop wargame was going to offer a way of playing on the tabletop like an RTS… but they have reneged. So, soon you’ll be able to play tabletop games similar to RTS with Warsurge. Simply put, your roster will act as a shop to ‘purchase’ units and you’ll accrue points by capturing nodes on the battlefield. There will be a few unique options to win the game with War Factory, but our intention is to have it also compatible with other game types or their objectives, such as Missions or Tactical Strike. When we have more details, we’ll let you know.
On the weekend of the 2nd and 3rd of May, we will be at Arcfest 2026 in Melbourne (Australia). It is a celebration of tabletop wargames where there will be tournaments and painting competitions. If you’re in the region, why not come say hi and play some Warsurge with us. There’ll be a prize for those who complete a demo with us, and we’ll be donating prizes to Arcfest itself.
