Welcome to the September 2026 news update for WARSURGE.

In the app department, there has been an update to the Warsurge App this month:

WARSURGE Update 1.9.65

• Added Delete for Unused Armoures (via Settings)

• Performance Improvements

• Minor Perk Update

Technical Notes

• Updated min-API

• Updated Core Framework

Of note, the various backup tabs in Settings have been put under one tab then divided into three sub tabs.

There should be a considerable improvement to app performance, though large lists may take a moment to load. On my old phone, I had an Armoury with 170 Weapons and it would take 8 seconds to display, while on my computer’s emulator it was more like 2 seconds.

The options for starting or continuing a War Factory game are visible when tapping Play, though they are inoperable right now.

The iPhone/iOS version’s help buttons are not visible right now, but they still work.

The ‘Concentrate’ Perk (Weapon, Offensive) has received a clarification, implying that Heavy Weapons will not normally benefit from it.

We have put some trial ‘core’ War Factory rules to play test on the Discord server. It currently doesn’t offer a base or series of buildings, but we plan to expand into that. You can still use buildings for terrain in the meantime.

On the 10th of October, we will be at PAX in Melbourne (Australia). PAX Aus is the biggest celebration of games and gaming culture in the country, held annually at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre. We’ll be running demo games of Warsurge there, which will be in the tabletop gaming area.
