Welcome to the July 2026 news update for WARSURGE.
We are going to make a new sample 500pts battle report using the two-page ‘Casual Rules’ and miniatures from the DakkaDakka.Store collaborative Kickstarter. Unlike previous battle reports this will be at a new venue and won’t be as detailed in descriptive text, as Casual games are pretty simple.
We made a promotional video about the DakkaDakka.Store Kickstarter. A dark corporation has privatised the afterlife and an army of time-police are ready to stop them. You can watch it here: https://youtube.com/shorts/dxLXrqb0tkc?feature=share
The Kickstarter by DakkaDakka.Store is now live. The funding period is planned to run for a little over two weeks. Feel free to check it out, and if you know anyone who might be interested in these miniatures, feel free to share it with them. The more people that know, the better it can work for DakkaDakka.Store and other backers wanting to unlock goals. Also, more support means more people will hear about WARSURGE.

There are two new factions, add-ons and stretch goals, focusing on the New Yard Constabulary and Createra Genetics, with several troop choices and leaders for both sides. These will be available as STLs, with options for merchant tiers and more.
There will be an exclusive quick rules booklet called “Operation: Nightshade” in dark or print-friendly format. It contains seven exclusive missions as a campaign with challenges, quick rules, 3D printing and painting guide, casual ruleset, lore and profiles with QR codes for two new factions: New Yard Constabulary and Createra Genetics. All of this in a 60-page booklet.
In the app department, we are still working on improving app performance. This is to address some speed and efficiency issues with very detailed units in rosters, and to navigate new Apple requirements. It has been slow as the issues have been more complicated than initially expected, therefore we are exploring a new way of managing data. This may have a number of benefits in other ways as well when it’s ready.
War Factory is next after the DakkaDakka.Store collaboration. We have big plans for this play mode; if you’ve ever played real-time strategy (RTS) games (of any kind) then we believe you will enjoy this game type.
