Welcome to the April 2022 news update for WARSURGE.
In the app department, we recently launched version 1.2.16. This added improvements to Rosters; those that contain Units and Weapons with many Perks will load faster for many devices. There was also a minor tweak to Implant and Seed Perks (making them more effective, but also costing a little more points).
Print Roster Feature is planned for the next major patch. You’ll be able to export your Roster as a print friendly PDF which you can print and take to your games! There will still be a QR Code on the PDF, so players using the app can still scan it. We hope to have this feature available sometime in May.
After Print Roster is complete, we are going to add a download option for additional premade Factions, integrated into the app itself (as opposed to using download codes through websites outside of the app). These will be ‘generic’ factions approved by Warsurge and can act as a starting point for designing your own army.
On the Kickstarter front, there have been some new developments and plans being made. The full rulebook will include dedicated sections for organising and running tournaments, and also creating your own campaigns! The campaign section provides information on a variety of campaign styles, but also a system for running a Map Campaign, such as managing resources, conquering territory and more.
For the Kickstarter, we are planning to offer the following options to pledge/pre-order:
- The Full Rulebook
- Quick Start Rules
- Premade Profiles Booklet (with 120 Units)
- Quick Start Rules in alternative languages, with stretch goals to unlock translations for the other products
The Warsurge Quick Start rules are currently being translated into German and Italian. We are seeking options for French and Spanish. We wish to fully translate all of Warsurge pending on the success of our book range.
Due to design and quality specifications, the physical Warsurge Rulebook is going to be printed and prepared by different businesses than what we listed in our original YouTube video and previous news announcements. We will have more details soon.
