October 2024 News

Welcome to the October 2024 news update for WARSURGE.

This month we have done a review and update to all the Narratives on the Warsurge website. Aside from a general tidy up and minor adjustments, we have also made some notable mechanical changes to Basketbrawl and Super Model Race. There are currently 10 different Narratives you can download. They are all in a print-friendly format, though in the future we plan to release a book that will contain these Narratives along with a bunch of new ones.

This month’s bounty is Philos-o-raptor. He’s a cunning one and sophisticated, but his reign of intellectual terror must be put to an end. Take him out before he causes more aneurisms to professors and lecturers.

For those in Melbourne (Australia) in November, you can check out our stall at MEGA at the Kensington Town Hall. MEGA is an event for tabletop gaming and modelling enthusiasts, which will be on Saturday 16th of November from 10am to 6pm. There are tickets available from their website ($10) or at the door ($20).

We will be at CanCon in January from the 25th to the 27th. More details to follow in later updates.

We are gathering a list of groups and reviewers in Australia to create awareness for Warsurge. We’ll begin in Melbourne and Geelong, so let us know if you have a club that you’d like us to do an intro day at!

Progress has been made on the Intermediate Battle Report, but it is still being worked on.

We have plans to update the tokens used in Advanced games. They’ll be easier to use with units and keep tabs on CP. We’ll have a video showcasing this when they’re ready.

The next STL models are being finished, which are the Seeker and Novarch War Suits. We hope for these to be available late October or early November. There’ll be an announcement on Kickstarter when they’re available, and backers will receive an update.

Models in the photo are by Avatars of War, The Printing Goes Ever On and Megalith Games. Buildings from Zealot Miniatures by Tabletop World. Gaming mat by Deep-Cut Studio.

Stay tuned for more news!
