August 2022 News

Welcome to the August 2022 news update for WARSURGE.

On the app front, we are continuing work on a ‘premade’ faction tab. At launch we aim to have 12 Factions which will have 10 Units each and with Weapons. Selecting a faction and downloading it will add it to your own list of Factions, allowing you to edit or add to it. You can use it as a starting point or just use them as they are.

While working on premade factions, we have begun work toward a major upgrade of the WARSURGE App. When complete, we will be able to offer a PC and Mac version of the software. The upgrade will provide other opportunities for the app as well, including improved functions, options, visuals and converting some Perks into features. For example, we will be able to have Weapons become connected to each other, rather than needing the Twin or Triune Perks.

For the Printed Book, we have experienced delays. Organising the production has been more complex than we initially thought. Unfortunately, we will not commence the Kickstarter in August, but we will do marketing leading up to the launch of the Kickstarter to have a successful campaign. To assist with generating awareness of Warsurge, we will be seeking players with an online presence to review the game along with a pre-launch rulebook (once we have our third batch of test prints). If you have any favourite reviewers, let us know!

We were featured on a video from the YouTube channel ‘Discourse Miniatures’, who listed us an alternative to GW game systems. Some of the info is not fully accurate (for example, players can scan profiles rather than needing to start from scratch) but it was great to be mentioned! You can watch it here:

If you haven’t done so already, you can sign up for the rulebook Kickstarter. By doing so, you will be notified when the Kickstarter is launched.

Models in the photo are by The Printing Goes Ever On, Gary Hunt Miniatures, Avatars of War and the walls/graveyard pieces are by Skull Forge Scenics. The Gaming Mat is by Deep Cut Studio.
