Welcome to the February 2022 news update for WARSURGE. We have some exciting news! With Kickstarter, we'll be launching the WARSURGE Rulebook. By using Kickstarter, it will help fund any extra goals such as translations and Quick Start booklets in advance.
You can now sign up for the Rulebook Kickstarter. By doing so, you will be notified when the Kickstarter is launched. Please share this with your wargaming friends and players who’ve been waiting for a Warsurge Rulebook!

In the app department, we are finishing work on the next patch, which will have new perks, perk changes, some fixes and our first option in the ‘Settings’ area: the ability to hide the Point Value of a Roster when browsing Rosters. Some devices are slowed when there is a large quantity of Rosters, so this setting will address this. The drawback is that you’ll need to load a Roster or put it into Play to see the Point Cost. Also, in the next patch there will be a popup when you try to use scanning and sharing features without an internet connection.
Once the next Warsurge App update is live, the Print Roster feature will become the primary focus. This combined with the rulebook will allow you to design armies, print them, then take the rulebook for an ‘analogue’ gaming experience.
A brand new booklet is being worked on, called ‘Tournaments’. There’s also an expansion to the ‘Terms of Engagement’ Mod on the way, known as ‘Roster Organisation Chart’ (ROC). Using the ROC, you can play games with an army design theme/layout in mind. Basically, this means players in the game will have some expectations of what could be on the table, such as a minimum/maximum number of Units among other factors.
Narrative missions are currently on hold, as our focus is currently on the rulebook and associated tasks.
In the photo is a preview of what the rulebook could look like on a coffee table!
Stay tuned for more news!
